1. Make up expires
Be careful with the make up you use these are some guidelines on expiation dates:
- Mascara 3-6 months
- Powder Eye shadow 2 years
- Liquid Eye liner 3 months
- Liquid Foundation- 5-6 months
- Nail polish- 1 year
- Lipstick- 6 months
2. Some Make up items contain metal
Eye shadows tend to have metal powder also known as Micah. So the more shimmer in your eye shadow the more metal it contains.
3. Take off your make up
You must make sure you take off your make up before you go to bed as leaving it over night can cause irritation to the skin. If you leave your mascara on throughout the night it can cause your lashes to fall out.
4. Drug store make up is as good as high end
As long as you find make up at a low price which works for you, you don't need to splurge a lot of money on high end products. I find department store make up is sometimes actually better than high end.
5. Putting your Nail Polish in the fridge preserves it
It actually works, it preserves the polish. Exposing nail polish to light will dry it up.
6. Ingredients of lipsticks
Some lipsticks are made from fish scales as it helps make lips shiny and doesn't smudge easily.
7. Were Eye liner was originated
Eye liner was first made in Egypt and not for cosmetics but to protect the skin from the sun.
